Everyone has their own impression of who they think Pink is. The thing that I like most about her is she isn’t your typical pop princess. Her music comes in many forms whether it’s to speak her mind or to tell you how she feels or even just to have some fun. Songs like “Stupid Girls” or “Don’t Let Me Get Me” tell you just how she feels about the other pop singers out there. Call it a bit rebellious either way it’s totally hot! Then there are songs that make you want to just have fun like “Get the Party Started.” For me, my favorite part of her music is the emotional songs. She lets it all out there and these songs have gotten me through some tough times. Some of these songs include, “Just like a Pill,” “You Make Me Sick,” “Misery,” “Who Knew,” and her newest song, “Sober.” I can really relate to a lot of these songs. No one can deny her stardom because from start to now she has made hit after hit. And, I don’t see her slowing down anytime soon. Plus, I have personally seen her live and her voice is absolutely amazing. She is not one of those singers that only sound good on the radio. I just want to say I love you Pink & your music!!

Those Dancing Days: Those Dancing Days

Those dancing days are an awesome, indie pop, all girl band, from Sweden. The track, Those Dancing Days is by far my favorite track by them, and waranted a quick little post for it’s fun sound, and poppy lyrics. All I can say is that I can’t stop playing this track, and seeing the lead singers big hair always puts a smile on face.

I would like to toast today to those who are celebrating their Irish roots and even if you are not Irish you can still celebrate. Enjoy these Irish favorites, whether you try one or just plain laugh at them:

Gonna keep this one short. La Puerta: TOP FIVE of places to eat, drink, and hang out. That’s all there is to it. Jen, the mixologist there, created a great drink menu. Ask for a ‘Hot for Teacher’ one of the best drinks I’ve ever had.Also the staff is the BEST!

The food they serve is top notch. And whats better is they serve it late, till about 1am every night, though my favorite is their Carne Asada Fries, best in San Diego.

They also have one of the better happy hours in my opinion, 1/2 off drinks and appetizers. What else do you need?

And did I mention the music selection? There hasn’t been a song I couldnt sing right then and there on the spot. And no, they dont play that top 40 crap. The music is good old rock and roll, with the welcomed odd ball track mixed in from time to time. You also get DJs and Bands that will play in the back of the bar Weds thru Sunday.

So I’m a big Vinyl fan. I love my records, I love my Music, and I love spinning them for people. Now by no means am I a DJ or good at it, but just a person that loves to share.

On that note I want to share this AWESOME track with you kids. It’s called as you’ve guessed, Girls Can be Cruel by Infusion. Now Infusion is a techno/alternative type band out of Australia. This track comes off as a single from their album Six Feet Above Yesterday.

Whats great though, is the Vinyl has not only the original tack, but some great remixes. But I will say that I still prefer the original. Now for most people the song docent stick out too much, and blends really well in the background at a club, or trendy bar. But what sticks out to me is the Guitar, and the Vocals/lyrics. They grab my attention. The guitar feels funky and edgy at the same time. Nothing complex, just catchy and good. As far as the vocals and lyrics, “Just on sip of your behavior, and my senses tell me danger. Just on sip of your behavior, and my senses tell I’m getting sick of your shit!” that’s just a great hook, and I love it.

We’ve gotten off our lazy asses and started what we’ve been putting off for almost two weeks. Some of you may be asking what’s the deal with ‘A Toast to These’? It’s about all things that are awesome and deserve a toast. From music, to food. From places to eat, to the movie we saw this afternoon.

More often then not, these will be posts of the not so recent. The lost items that we may have overlooked or missed. Or simply the items that may never have gotten their due. We will be saying a toast to these items!

This brings us to the first item that we would like to Toast.

This image was sent to me by a very good friend of mine probably 4-5 years ago. What I like most about it, is what it represents. At a glance you can see it’s about how music is this persons passions, and life. But I think it goes further then that. It’s not just about music. It’s not just about one person. It’s about what drives each and every one of us. We should all be able to look at this image, and see in our selves what motivates and drives us, what our passions are. For that I give a toast, for things that make us go. Shall they always be there, pushing us along.
